My Clipper journey starts on Saturday when I head to Gosport for 8 days for my Level 1 training. The first and last days will be taken up with day courses on First Aid at Sea and Sea Survival. The days in between will be long and hard work - lots of sailing and practising basic routines during the day, with theory sessions in the evenings and some overnight sailing.
I am looking forward to meeting other Clipper crew, and to getting started, as I feel as though I am heading off into the big unknown at the moment. At least I am sure that I wont be cold or wet as I decided to splash out and buy some decent kit.
